Privacy Notice

Last updated 23 July 2026

The short version: we only hold the information we need to do your paperwork, only the PaperSorted team sees it, we never sell it, and when you leave, your folder goes with you and our copies are deleted. This website itself sets no cookies and runs no trackers.

1. Who we are

PaperSorted is a UK paperwork service for tradespeople, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration ZC204119. For anything about your data, message or call us on +44 7404 945629 (WhatsApp or phone).

2. What we collect and why

If you're a client, we hold what we need to run the service for you:

We use this to draft, send and file your paperwork, to run and bill the service, and to contact you about it. The legal basis is the contract between us (and, for keeping basic billing records, our legal obligations).

If you're a client's customer, your details — typically a name, address, phone number or email inside a quote or invoice — reach us from the tradesperson you hired. We process them only on that tradesperson's instructions, to produce and send their paperwork. We act as a processor for this information: the tradesperson decides what's collected and why, and this notice supplements their own responsibilities to you.

If you just visit this website, we collect nothing. No cookies, no analytics, no tracking. If you tap the WhatsApp button, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to the conversation from there.

3. Who sees it

Only the PaperSorted team. We never sell your information or share it for marketing. The tools that carry or store your data on our behalf are:

Each is a mainstream provider with its own security and UK GDPR safeguards. Where a provider stores data outside the UK, it does so under recognised international transfer safeguards. We'll share information beyond this only if the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

5. How we protect it

Your documents are kept in a private folder per client, access is limited to the PaperSorted team, and we never ask for or hold your email password — if you let us send from your email address, you grant that through your provider's own delegation feature and can revoke it yourself at any time.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and take your information elsewhere. Message us and we'll sort it — usually well within the one-month legal limit. If you're a client's customer, we may pass your request to the tradesperson who holds your details, since they decide how that information is used.

If you're not happy with how we've handled something, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113 — though we'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.

7. Changes to this notice

If we change this notice in a way that matters, we'll message existing clients before the change takes effect and update the date at the top of this page.
